Gonna be spending the weekend at my unckles place on lake Jordan the last weekend in march. Don't know a thing about the lake. I'd apreciate any advice on baits and patterns for that time of year. Thanks.

I'm not from Alabama and only fish this lake a couple of times a year but will give my 2 cents. Incidently my bass club had its monthly fish-off there on the 7th. Keep in mind that none of us know the lake but about 12 out of 16 had 5 fish limits with 3 over 10 lbs.
The east side of the lake has quite a few long points that hold a lot of fish. There seems to be some type of ridge (roadbed?) that extends down this side of the lake. At times there are a lot of fish on this if you can find about 10 feet on top.
The west side has many small creeks with alot of docks. The east has quit a few also. These can be very productive skipping or flipping. Also a Bandit 200 worked along the docks and in between can work. I catch mainly spots doing this but they are Coosa spots and are really healthy.
For largemouth fish the grass patches you will see all along the banks.
If they are pulling water from the Mitchell dam you can go up and fan cast below the dam with grubs or fish the creek mouths and island points.
If they are pulling water at the Jordan dam the canal between the main lake and the second lake can be good with jig and pig.
I hope this gives you a start. No matter what the weather one of these should work.
Thanks, thats a big help. I'm hopeing to turn my unckle on to bass fishing. He's got a house on the lake and right now all he knows how to do is soak chickenlivers.
Any pocket on the North end when they are moving water is deadly for the spots.
Look for the eddys and breaks.

Yeah that worked pretty good! Billius and myself were out there today, and at one small pocket the shad were jumping, hemmed up by the spotties. We got a few good bites from that pocket!![]()

Thanks for the advise guys, but I may not get to use it the way I would like. Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to take my boat ( don't trust my truck to tow that far from home) and my unckles toon doesn't have a TM. Any yall free that weekend to take a poor Ga boy fishing?
