It depends on where we put in.

Best place would probably be in Alexander City. But it might be to far from where we put in at. I got a feeling we'll be putting in on the south side of the lake. Probably elmore county side. Wetumpka might be best then.

Hank, there is a nice Key West Inn in Wetumpka....still 30 miles from the Kowaliga ramp, but that's about in. The motel has hook ups......accross from Wally World on 231 just south of Downtown

There's a Best Wetern and a Jameson Inn in Alex City. Wind Creek State Park is not very far from Alex City....maybe 5-10 miles and Kowliga is 5 miles from Wind Creek. Assuming we use one of these two ramps.

I know I don't want to put in at Kowliga. It's a good ramp, but I know it will be full on a Saturday. I work in that area. I'll go by wind creek and ask if the landing is really busy with tournaments on Saturdays. If so, there are probably about 50 landings on lake martin and I'm sure we can find on that is not over run. I know of one right off hand that is back off the beaten path and looked like a pretty good landing. It was small but I'm sure it could handle out small group.

If you're going to launch in the wind creek area, the Alex City launch is just off 280 and is very nice, isn't usually too crowded and, free. I always launch from there.
