Directions to Beeswax Landing on Lay Lake for Sept BBC Tourney.

Hey guys for those who have not ever been to beeswax, travel north or south on I-65 to Exit 212 in Clanton. Turn onto Hwy 145 North. (it's more like east but you know how road numbers go) From the Chevron Station right next to the exit or either Gene's Marine, it's right at 21 miles to the landing. It will be on the right hand side of the hwy. It is pretty well marked. You'll see an "Adopt A Stream" sign and then I think there was 2 signs that said "Beeswax" or " Beeswax park" right on the Hwy. If you go over the bridge you can look back and see the landing from hwy. Then you have gone too far. There is not a road number. It is just marked "Beeswax Park".

It shouldn't take more than 30 min to to get from exit 205 (where I think you are staying) and to the landing. But I would give myself at least 45-60 min to get signed in and boat in water.

I think there's a much shorter route for those of us coming from "up north". Traveling south on I-65, turn left on AL-25 (EXIT 228) and travel 4.0 miles to CR-42. Turn right and drive 9.8 miles until the road "T"s. That will be AL-145. Turn left and drive 3.6 miles to Beeswax Park Road. Turn right and the ramp is a hundred yards or so on the left.

Here's the mapquest link (http://www.mapquest.com/direct...res=1 ) with directions from Killen if anyone's interested. Actually the directions are to the little gas station/bait store near the intersection of AL-145 and Beeswax Park Road but it'll get you pretty darn close!

    See ya'll there!!
