I think I'd rather take a beatin' than fish Pickwick but at least I wouldn't have to drive very far this time.

Well Avery, why don't we try Wilson? Or, do a trailer tournament. Meet at McFarland on Pickwick and either fish there or trailer to Wilson and put in (less than 10 miles). Hopefully I'll have my new boat by March and would love to fish with you guys again. I hate I'm going to miss Guntersville this month.

Well, still working out the details, but hopefully it will be a Stratos 294 Pro XL (new for this year) w/ the Evinrude 200 H.O. etec. Again, still working out some details including some personal/professional changes, but should get it ordered during the Huntsville Boat Show. I'll be working at it, so will have plenty of time to check out the options.

Well, you know the old saying....'What she don't know, won't hurt me!'

Like I said earlier, we've got some changes going on within the next month that is going to make it easier on me bringing a new boat home again.

We are going to have 2 294's with the regular 200 etec on them at the Huntsville show, so I'll be able to inspect them really good before ordering. The deck layout is supposed to be just like my 285 I had last year, so it will be familiar with a lot more performance/room.

Yeah Freddie, laugh now. Just wait til the rumor mill is flying next Tuesday when you get to work. Their may be a surprise or two come out this weekend. I got the email, but Sunday tournaments are out for me.

You heard that we have switched from Speegle's to Smith Lake Park for our July tournament didn't you? Also, we are giving away a 2005 Stratos 285 Pro XL w/ Johnson 150 as a door prize! ($21,000 prize) If you enter the Wheeler tournament and the Smith Lake tournament, your name goes in the hat twice!

    Talk to you later on.

    Alan,

It will run Friday (Noon-9), Saturday (10am-9), and Sunday (I think 11-5). Come on up and see me. I'll be in the Stratos section of Extreme Marine out of Decatur.

Winn, 29 votes on this one. Do we have 29 that fish with us? As the votes have slowed I suggest we have a run off of the top two choices.

Winn, voting on the March Tournament hasn't changed much in a while. Let's declare a winner and start voting on the date. I have quite a few things going on in March (brothers wedding, vacation, etc.) so the sooner we set a date the better.

Re: Pick a lake for March..... (alanc)

It really needs to be toward the end of March if we can do that. That way maybe my boat will be in. They have so many of the etec H.O.'s on back order that it will probably be the middle to end of March before it gets here unless I can pull a few strings. The good thing though, is that I won't have any kind of break-in on this motor to worry about! Get it on Friday, go wide open on Saturday!!!

Prolly the later the better for me, I have to see when Spring break is, My son and myself have a trip to Beafort Sc for a few days of fishing, then we're going down to Dauphin Island for the later part of SB. I should be good the last couple of weekends.
