Here are my recommendations for your purchase.

The swing tongue is a waste of money unless you get brakes, it will only swing about 6-8 inches.

The lighted compartments are incandescent lights, save the 300.00 they will charge you and put in BlueWaters.

Upgrade the TM Wiring to 6 GA.

Add a Trim switch to the bow (No, this is not standard)

I would have gotten a 150 on my H18 if I would do it again.

Thanks. I did add trim on bow. I can change swing tongue. if I went 150 I still want 4 stroke so that would cost $3000 more. Is it worth $3000?

I will check ga on trolling motor and will cancel lights. I heard of blue water. Who puts those in? do I need to run wiring or anything from factory for it

The swing tongue on new trailers save 2 feet not 6 to 8 inches they tell me now. The 6 gauge wiring is over $300 add. Dealer is telling me over kill for 24 v trolling motor so please let me know thoughts why 6 gauge please.

There are days I wish I would have gone with the 200 oh my X19. You can always slow down, you can't always speed up.

Dealer should be able to do it. You will like those much more than what Xpress sends you.

From what I have learned anything over 70 ft lbs that is 24 Volts needs the larger wire. Find out the model of TM you will get and look it up. My Tour Digital MG says 6 Gauge. You could always run it later. They charge way to much for it.

They go back with Metal Trailers? If they added 2 ft to the Back Track Alum, it's going to be super bouncy.

no all aluminum trailer. I am at a lost on why bouncy. Is it because of tongue weight with the swing tongue over the other? I can fit it in garage without swing tongue but would be to door with jack plate. Yeah 70 pound minnkota trolling motor. Can probablt ask to see if they can put blue waters in at dealer. Are these the ones you can get in like red or other colors? I did not add brakes to trailer because figured as light as boat and trailer was it wouldnt need it. I didnt have it on my 2007 War Eagle Predator. I really thought about the 150 4 stroke yamaha but thought for what I use it for not worth $3000.00

I would make sure your trolling motor you are getting is variable speed. I have a 70# thrust hand control speed 4 not enough and 5 is way to much. Its annoying. I think with minnkota's you have to step up to the 80#.

Re: 18 PFC xpress with 115 4 stroke and extreme coat not carpet (krainium)

Like Chris said ...... 6ga is a MUST if you're +70lb's thrust ....... especially 80lb motors. It doesn't take TM's long to build heat in wires, especailly the big ones.

Mr John Jones can tell you exactly why in the Trolling Motor section of this site.

Re: 18 PFC xpress with 115 4 stroke and extreme coat not carpet (xpress spanky)

Congrates on the new rig Monte. Go with the max HP for your boat you will regret it later. The motor will use more gas with the smaller motor because it has to work harder for the same speed. Mind will run over 83mph/gps but we rerely run it over 50 mph but it's there if you need it. The last TX we fished my partner wanted to fish a place about 10 miles away and had very little time to fish before the TX ended, we open her up and got to fish his place and get back to the landing in time, if we had went with the 225 I don't thank it would run nothing like it does now.
My boat came with 8 ga wire and we upgraded it our selves to 6 ga marine multiple stranded wire. What came on it was almost rigid it was so stiff, it had large stands of wire in it and the marine had small stands like welding cable. My batteries seem to last longer also.
We changed our lights to led in our compartment also. You might be able to do yourself and save some money there

Re: 18 PFC xpress with 115 4 stroke and extreme coat not carpet (kk4iz)

Thanks guys. This is an 18 foot crappie rig on hyper lift hull. Not a bass boat like I have always had. With bass boats you always want max hp motor. It seems most of these guys even put 90 hp on them. Some 115 and very few 150. Like a bass boat you want to try and keep it in to what others want and price if you ever did have to sell. I am going to change wiring to 6 gauge and might even go with fortex 80 trolling motor which will put my cost up more. Motor I have to think about. I may go with a 150 but that will be 3000 dollars more for that 4. Stoke and put me about $32000 with all my add ons for this rig. $29000 was already about $3500 more than most add on these and spend. Thanks. I am ordering Thursday. So I have to figure all this out.

With a 115 it will go about 48 mph depending on load and with a 150 it wil go about 10 mph faster plus or minus.

Thx. I just don't think in a crappie boat like this it would make since to spend $3000 more for 150. Won't be fishing any bass tournaments but would be nice to get 58 to 60. I would think it would do 60 with hyper lift hull. That would be nice to at least be able to do 55. Really don't need too though.

Mine will do 60 with a 150 (X-19). Go with the F150 and don't look back. Make the dealer deal. Also, closely read all the complaints about the finish and make it clear that if yours comes in looking like some of ours did you will not take it. Other wise you will really enjoy this rig. Xpress really LOVE's to charge $$$ for upgrades.

Do you have the 150 4 stroke or 2 stroke?
