when u guys say 4 1(2 below the pad. your talking about the center of the prop hub right? I've been thinking about putting my 6" jackplate back on my h51 with 90 yamaha but am running 43 gps without it. will it benefit me in any way to put it back on? running stock ballistic prop.

Is your engine a SHO? I have the Yamaha 200 hp SHO four stroke and it is a strong engine. Mine is on an H-20 Xpress bass boat.

Best speed with 200lb+ passenger and fishing tackle for both 49.6MPH
All speeds from my Lowrance GPS
Average 16-17lbs of water pressure even when on the pad
Could use some prop work or such. I can get over 6,000RPM's fairly easy when on the trim.

9.5" Rapid Jack will be installed this weekend and plan to borrow a friend's 17" power tech. I found a 17" turbo online for 284$ shipped and plan on purchasing it depending on the results I get this weekend. Does anyone know were I can find a better deal?
Is Your motor a SHO and what kind of RPM's you turning?
Mine is a SHO and I have no idea what RPMs it turns. I've had it up to 55 or so mph and was just driving it ahead of a storm. Just didn't look at the tach because it wasn't close to maxing out.

Lonnie,i would say your running just fine!I think the difference in speed between our rigs is due to my boat is 10" narrower then yours, about 230 lbs lighter than yours, and my boney azz is only 117 lbs.

After much reading on most all the boards, I have come to the conclusion that spanky is a xpress gooroo. So I have a question. I am wanting to buy a h20 bay, with hyperlift hull. But I can't decide if I want a 115 or a 150. I realize bigger is better, but I just wanna run in the 50 mph range. Is this possible with a 115 and a jack plate? Or should I just bite the bullet and get the 150 with a jack plate and roll on? Thanks.
