I'm thinking about installing my comfortroll this weekend. I have searched the Triton forum and there is a lot of great information here. Do you guys have any last minute suggestions or techniques i should consider?![]()

Measure twice and cut once!
You will love it when it is done.

I just put one in my tr19. It looks great remember you will cut into your storage compartment on the front end.Like the other guy said measure twice cut once Good Luck![]()
If you have a chalk line, snap a center line on the carpet. That way you can make sure it is centered without using anything permanent.

After you measure, cut the carpet off first with a razor knife. Then use masking tape and plastic to cover the deck because crap goes EVERYWHERE. Drill the four corners. Take a stiff drink so you can stop shaking. Then go at it with either a jigsaw or sawzall. You will have to trim the cross member in the front when the floor is removed. It looks like you are taking alot off but it will be OK.
Good luck

Are there any areas in particular that i should seal with marine silicone? I have seen people apply this for good measure but do i just run a bead around the top? Any suggestions?
I used a liberal amount of #M 5200 to seal all the way around. I don't plan on removing it and didn't want any leaks

Wear a dust mask while cutting and drilling.

I did that too....
Then due to unforseen circumstances, I had to remove it at the end of summer to replace it and now I am going to have to replace my carpet sooner than expected because I pulled some up with it.
I LOVE the tray though.![]()
