Ok. I have an interesting set up for you. Ranger 392v with an evinrude G2 200 HO

Yea I done gone and done it.

    3 3/8" pad to prop.
    25" Raker HO
    3.3 sec to plane
so far only have run her on a 1.25 mile long lake so by the time I'm into it and just starting to settle in I'm doing 68 at 5500 rpm and I have to get out of her. Tournament load, my fat ass in the boat, 40 gallons of gas, 2 fish in the live well.

Had 2 in the boat and same speed.

Need to to get her in the Hudson or Champlain to run her out. Starting to chine at 67 but there is more in her. I just need to learn to drive it and need to stretch her legs. 48 mph at 4000 rpm.

i know some people will think I'm crazy putting a new engine on a 23 year old hull but this thing is showroom new and the old engine was strong just electrical and reliability issues kept her in the driveway.

It's your boat, only you know if it makes sense for you. I put a new Opti on a 2000 Ranger in 2011 so who am I to judge. This is likely my last boat and I wanted a good engine. So far so good.

I think you're too low. Raise it up a hole.

Now, if you bought the new engine and got the 10 yr. warranty with it, you made the best decision of your boating life. Good fishing....
