    Floor drains

Boat is an '01 Tr19. Anyone else have SLOW drainage of the floor if it pours rain or god forbid a wave comes in the boat? I have my seats out and notice no real drainage holes in front of the gas tank. Is the water all supposed to go in the crack between the tank and the floor? Has anyone drilled more drains in the floor? how much room is under the floor above the hull ? is it feasible to put a decent floor drain in there?

There are two holes in the wall under seats about 4 inches from the side of the boat. Run your finger along the carpet edge and you'll find them. Mine were full of gravel. I used a wire hanger and pulled as much as I could out. Then poked the rest down the hole. Boat floor drains way better now.

Me too! I cleaned these holes out as best I could and trimmed some of the carpet back. It had become very grungy over the years. There are also some L shaped screens you can put over the hole to keep out sinkers and floor cull plastics.

Check out this older post, it shows the boat with the seat platform removed, you ca really get an idea on what it looks like and why the carpet can clog it up. Look at the 4th & 5th pictures.

Even my '08 had that issue and Mark is right about the location of the drains. You can see in those pics divot in the carpet at the edge of the gas tank. I took a razor knife and trimmed the carpet from around the hole and found that there was almost a 1/2" tube under there in my '08. I put a screen over the top and it works great. It almost looks like they were trying to use the carpet as a screen but that does not work.
    Good luck.

    Re: Floor drains (Triton19x2)

Thanks all. I will look harder for the holes. My seats are out and I just didn't see any holes.

They look more like indentations or low spots on the floor

    Re: Floor drains (fishindoc)

Well, I found no drainage holes in those divots. But it appears there is a gap under the gas tank that leads back from there. The carpet was impeding flow through them. Also behind the tank there are 2 drain holes, but these are off center, they looked to be covered with a film of crud. I used a coat hanger to poke those clear. Hope this helps. So does anyone know the clearance under the deck? Is a floor drain, similar to Ranger boats possible?

The problem with that is the stringer system. If you don't know exactly where they are located you risk cutting into one of them. This is something I would let a dealer handle. I'm sure the amount of clearing away you have already done will make a huge difference.

Re: Floor drains (Mark from NY)

Thanks. Good point. Stringers; I would not want to cut into that I'll put some screen over those divots and see how it goes.
