Thanks Rick. Someone picked up my dogs and took them to the humane Society.I live on a farm and they run free!!!! The humane society sent them to a rescue shelter and had them nuterd!!!!These are a breeding pair of $2000 a piece Luellen Setters!!! A matched set that I researched the genetics on to get the right pairing. Now they are not sure I can get them back because they are settled in their new home... I am livid and I need someone to keep me grounded when I go up there.. And get this if I do get them back I have to pay for the nuetering!!!!!!!Sorry for the vent....

    Re: HEY Darrel Grammer!!! (RangerRodney)

UPdate!!!Janet an I drove 758 miles to the Wisconsin border thursday nite in the snow storm and all day yesterday to pick up our dogs...They are home safe now but what a delima..We were lied to and they were not nueterd until monday and they were not already placed in a home as we were told!!! !!! If the people at the pound would have helped us last friday whn we called them we could have stopped it. I had to loose my temper and threaten them to even get any kind of imformation about their where abouts. Anyway thank you guys for your thoughts and comments,,

A speacial thanks to Daryl Grammer for his efforts advise and moral support. A rare true friend..Thank you buddy!!!!

What a bad thing to happen Jim. I would not have been able to keep calm at all.
At least you got em back.

    Re: HEY Darrel Grammer!!! (Smallmouthguy)

Have I missed something?..Someone picked up the dogs in southern Illinois and dropped them at a rescue center in northern Illinois....It seems to me that some effort should have been made to locate their home before moving them so far.
Do you know if they tried to locate their home? Wow.....

    Re: HEY Darrel Grammer!!! (21TritonX)

I don't understand why they sent them so far either..The local citizen that picked them up made every effort to find us.. I had bought them new collars for Christmas and had got busy and didn't get their tags changed..The chip on my male wouldn't scan or has moved and the chip on my female didn't get registered by the breeder I bought her from. Which he said he had done .so my redundant system failed..But all would have been well had the local pound done their job and released me the imformation I asked for.The lADY THAT PICKED THEM UP TOOK THEM TO MY VET AND SHE DID NOT RECOGNISE THEM.... .... AND i PROMISE YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN A SET OF DOGS QUITE LIKE THESE...ANYWHO... I am trying to forgive and forget and thank the Lord they are at least alive and home...They picked up a severe case of Kennel caugh and it cost me about a grand to get them back from the nuetering, kennel cost and the trip.. But that is better than loosing them or burying them in the back yard....

    Re: HEY Darrel Grammer!!! (Smallmouthguy)

Things could have turned out much worse. But I agree with Jim, it is so hard to believe someone in the profession of animal control and public service could have been so derelict in their duties. Normally these folks love animals and do everything possible to get them back to their home safely. This person was not only of no assistance but, but an obstruction that caused irreparable damage. I've tried, but I just can't make myself understand this.

Any way too nuter the Vet, Or the comedian at the shelter?
Maybe bring them fishing " You know three go fishing one comes back "

Takes all kinds to make the world go round, but only a few to stop it dead in its tracks.

Glad to hear you got them back safe and sound.
