What is the best minnkota trolling motor choice?

    I planning on getting an 80. Unsure if I need a 45 or 52/54.
I really want a terrova ipilot. Has any of you guys researched pitting a terrova on a Stroker?

I have the 36V terrova on my 210 blazer. It is an awesome motor and glad I have it but there are a couple of drawbacks. It is very hard to get used to with the way it deploys. There isnt much to hold onto of the trolling motor, and you have to be very far forward on the boat to deploy and stow it. Plus the steering takes some getting used to with the lag of electric steer. If I had to do it again I would definately mount it Tennessee style though

No that is along the left side of the boat. You see a lot of Bullets rigged that way. I think down the center or just in the customary method would be more to my liking.

Matt if u fish slop and in the shallows often the electric drive TM's are definitely not wat u want to invest in. U'll burn that thing out quick. Where u fish most of the time should determine if a electric driven or a cable drive TM will work best for u. Unless u like to fish wind blown areas with big waves.... a 45" shaft will work fine. I'm running a 45" fortrex 101 and have no problems.

I went with the 80lb fortrex 52". Thought about which to get a long time and very happy with my selection. With the wind weve had lately Im happy with the 52"

I have a minnkota fortrex 36v 101 and love it. The 45" works but theres times when I could use a longer one
