Valve??

So my cooler slowly allows water to come in. I have the valve closed but It keeps getting worse and worse. What to do?

New valve or linkage if the plug is maybe leaking tighten it.

$3.99 fix is put a Cooler plug in the hole and be done with it...No fail fix

X 100, that is what I did with mine to be sure I never left it open again. I did drill 2, 1/4" holes in the troth though so water would drain as the ice melts.

I really like the control that manual plug has......I have left a spot many times with the live well open and have it empty when I arive at a new spot

There's nothing more frustrating than to leave the valve open on hot summer day and ice melts. I have done it more than once, might have to invest in a plug just for back up.

Might be some trash in it . Before I would change it I would take a hose and flush it out. you can shut it and put water in it and see if it leaks out.
They are hard to get to I would check it first

I use a plug too. Thats a good idea Lou on the little hole to drain it.
