I have not posted in a few years. But when I need bass boat info this is the place I go.

I am headed to NY from VA for memorial day weekend. A weekend of fishing. I pulled my boat (1994 18 foot Nitro) out today finally and first my water was not pumping. Some kinda worm nested in the pee hole. A stick took care of that. Then we went out for a cruise on the Potomac.

Once we got a couple miles up river we pulled the trolling motor to put it through the paces. When I went to start the 140 1994 Johnson again it would not start. I had to let it sit for another 15 minutes then it started up. Then I headed back to dock and it was fine, idled no problem and what not. Then I let it sit for a few minutes and it had a hard time starting again. I am sure if I would have waited 15 minutes it would have started right up.

I kinda remember this being a common problem. This is livable but I want advice on it before I head out for the weekend. Look for things to fix or mitigate it in short order?

thanks again for all the great info! Sorry for lack of detailed info. It is dark out. I searched for my old posts but had no luck.
