The 1.62s will be easier to prop.

    Re: New Motor (spider1)

Speaking of motors. I'am looking for a good 300x to put on my Stroker and take the 280 off if anyone knows of one.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Hey Mark, sorry for hijacking your post. I didn't realize it until I went back and read my post.

I agree... 1.62's for propping reasons

    Re: New Motor (Muskiebri)

I run the 1.75 gears, If I had it to do over I would consider the 1.62's because of the large pitch props required to run the big ###'s at low elevation. Where I am at the 1.75's work good, just no one to swap props with.

The 300X was last made in 05. It is a Promax motor. Doesn't have all of the Optimax junk on it and a very good performer.

I have heard some good #ers with 280's but I think the 3 liter will run the big#er easier and more consistant especially with any kind of load on board.

    Re: New Motor (Largemouthlou)

I got the 280 on mine. Been 92mph so far. I would need a lot bigger prop to break 100mph with the 1.87 gears I'am running.
