I have read a number of posts, and answers by the mods, that reference "index the plugs." I have no idea what that means. Is there a simple way to describe it? Does it apply to my motor?

Steve, if you're talking about your engine, it dosen't apply. Indexing is only for the FFI,DI and ETEC engines.
