    Alittle faster

Nice seeing Dan Hare today...Always a pleasure and well i see Blair everyday
Ran some props today, i didnt break the century mark but closer.....98.4 w/ 30 galons of fuel and all my fishing stuff plus balast and the boat was still leaning....3" above the pad ..Not bad for a non hydro tec'd 225 ...More time i would have gotten it but we had been runnin all day and Blair needed to run the prop.....By the way.."Nightmare" 112 and change on second pass, it was time to load up after that....Play with that prop some more

Jason, is your altitude correct, 20 ft. elevation? You've got her rolling.

That elevation is a little bit off. The lake we run in Highlands County is around 39'.

    Re: Alittle faster (1outlaw)

Mostly Saturdays but a few Sundays.
Did not do either this weekend.
Heading to H/T Friday so I will be boatless bank trash until they can get me rolling again...

Looks like you were Setting the Water On Fire! Pull some of that gas out and you would have broke the 100 mark!!!

Jason, what prop was it running this day? Also what effect would the two more inches of setback (from 12 to 14) have on that same prop?

    Re: (Ludicrous)

Extra set back will let ya raise the motor a little more for less drag, also puts prop in cleaner water for a better bite, you will be able to use less positive trim as well..

    Re: (Largemouthlou)

Thanks for the info. After I get some seat time with the 12" setback that's on there now I'll add the 2" spacers and run it some more before playing with props. It will need something better than the current 28 pitch.

Roger. Top secret prop will be purchased through you when I'm ready. You wouldn't happen to be a dealer for Furuno fishfinders too? Lol. Model FCV 620.

    Re: (Ludicrous)

I am a dealer for the Furuno line...shoot me an IM or email and I can get you the friends and family discount!!!

Lou has enough props ...he does not need another 28 Performer...

Seriously, I would like to try out the 28 as blairs 30 was awesome but I never got to run it and as hot as it is I probably need a lower pitch.
