    Rusty RPM?

I have a 2000 Stratos 283 with a 2000 Johnson 150. I have 2 props (22 & 24 Rakers) to get worked. Do you know what the max RPM for this engine should be as well as h20 pressure. It currently runs about 5900 with the 22 and 5500 with the 24. Would it be more helpful or could you give me any additional info if I provide you with a number from the boat or motor?
    Thanks in advance

    Michael

    Re: Rusty RPM? (Stratocaster)

Well, here's my response. Get rid of that 22. You DO NOT want to turn that motor that many rpms for very long. The 24 Raker is right on. 5400-5600 rpms tops. Water pressure needs to stay around 15-20 at wot.

    Hope this helps.
