    Stretched it out Sat

Fished a tourney Sat morning on Lake Belton..was 9th boat out with about a 6 mile run to my starting spot..had a Gambler with a 250 Merc started out 3rd...I was by myself with approx 30gals of fuel..caught him within less than a mile..and it was over by then...was able to turn 6050 rpm,s..GPS locked at 95.3..got my prop cleaned up last week..raised the motor about a month ago..and the lightweight flywheel definetley helped..I am really proud of the old girl, I know I am not running some of the speeds others are..but I am getting close..that was with the 30p Quad I got from Marty..this thing just tickles the crap out of me !!

How was the holeshot with that 30p prop with a tourney load?

Re: Stretched it out Sat (TiGer85SS)

Mark: Congrats that's some great speed with a tourney load. Oh and I bet the 30" is just fine for hole shot, I use a 30" Performer 4 blade B/C as my tourney fishing prop as well

Sounds like you had a blast. Last year I was learning mine during the Skeeter owner's tournament at Lake Fork. I ran the boat cuts for 2 hour and couldn't stop smillin'! So how did you fair in the tournament? Wayne

Re: Stretched it out Sat (TiGer85SS)

That is hard for me to figure..my Bullet had a 28p Bravo..and poppped right up..this 30p on the Stroker takes about a boat and a 1/2 length..but pulls like crazy in mid -range..you just want to SLOWLY bump the trim..this is a great prop..for fishing..but at WOT it will wiggle with you..I am afraid now after changing the flywheel that I may spin a 28p to the limiter? I have not tried my 32p 3 blade yet since changing flywheel..really would like to hear from Rob Shaw..he is also putting on the light flywheel..

Re: Stretched it out Sat (strokinrun)

Not even close. The BasSport Pro (2 seater) is the slowest hull that Allison makes. Fully loaded for tournaments and with a partner/water in livewells, high 80's. By myself and lightly loaded, low 90's. As I consider the BasSport Pro to be the only tournament bass boat Allison makes (and I used to own an XB2003), Stroker is the King of the Hill when it comes to performance. IMHO.

You might try to open up your vent holes to help on the hole shot.
