Is there anything else to do, besides purging the air out of the oil line before connecting and pumping the oil bulb once connected, before intially starting an E-tec? We removed the clip on the vent line already. Thanks.

This process is best to be done by the computer. The software will do the purging. Rusy can give you more details.

The owners manual doesnt say to do anything else, but I dont see how pumping the bulb is going to put oil thru the pump and into the lines. Seems like it should have a self prime mode or something like an opti has.
Tilt the motor all the way up, turn motor full right, prime oil primer bulb until the oil filter is full and there are no air bubbles in the clear oil lines, this is what you should do to bleed to oil system.....After I do this I use the software to cycle the oil pump and watch the clear oil lines for bubbles, when I see no more bubbles the motor is ready to run.
If your dealer had done this......you wouldn't have to.![]()
