used boat help

Can some of you give me a little help on what I need to look for on a used boat. I
have narrowed my search down to Stratos and I have found 4 different boats they
are between 2006-2008 200xl & 201xl. all have Evinrude 225 on them except one has
a Yamaha 225 This boat will be my first glass boat.
I have been fishing out of tin boats for the last 20yrs and know nothing about this type of performance boat.

First off --- Welcome to the board.

Any of the four that you mention, if cared for should be in pretty good shape based soley on years of age. For my money the motors you mentioned are about equal in quality - both very good ones. It now boils down to how the rigs have been cared for up to this point. The way to find that out is to have reputablele mechanic check them out for you. At this point a couple of hundred spent could save you many times that if you were to choose one that looked good but had not been cared for.
