Hello to all and Happy Holidays

I recently added a recessed foot pedal tray upfront. I'm a little concerned as to what this boat has for flotation. When I cut her open I didn't see anything. I hear stories about flotation getting water logged and making the boat heavier. When I added the tray I just let the drain tube hang thinking the raid water would just drip down the tube and then run down to the bildge. Is this correct? Is there any flotation under the console that may be getting wet because I added thr tray?

I have a 93 389TDC and did the same thing. I just put the drain tube down into the bilge and have not had any problems.
