well, i ran a ground wire from ther skeg.....................

to the block ground for tm under plug and tested it just hanging the tm over the side in garage and turning on my 7cv. I put it on traditional and clear view. when the screens came up they were blank (as expected being out of the water) when I hit the trolling motor, here come the lines. I guess its back to the drawing board

I don't believe Your completely grounded until your trolling motor is in the water.
