my friend has a 1999 johnson venom 200 hp... We want to know the max rpm he can get on the motor and if there is a rev-limiter alarm on the motor? His tack is only ringing out at about 5500 rpm?

Power pack rev limiter is 6700 RPM. Internals may become externals prior to that RPM best to prop it for 5800 RPM.
