    Question Transducer for 93sv

Hey, I was just interested in hearing your feelings about which Side/Down view transducer you think is better for the echomap 93sv and Why? Are the images better? Better Frequency selections? Crisper images? What ever you might want to add.
    Thanks,
    Shelfsh

The only one recommended by Garmin is the GT-52 HW. There are others compatible though. http://www8.garmin.com/marine/PDF/tr...tion_guide.pdf

When selecting transducer type under the sonar setup menu should I leave it on auto or manually select the GT-52HW? Was told auto slows the CPU down a little.

I have no idea about the CPU slowing down. Thats the first Ive heard of anything like that with the newer Garmins.

The only reason to switch away from the GT52 might be if you fish deeper than 200-250 ft or so on a regular basis. In that case you might want a more powerful transducer like the GT50 or 51.

Auto does not slow down the cpu. I use auto all the time and hot swap transducers regularly in deep water. Never seen a slow down on Striker, echoMAP CHIRP 93sv or on 7610.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.
