    Keeping fish alive

Hey guys I had a ranger but just bought a Javelin and the lids on the livewell dont seem to be as heavy duty. Are fish hard to keep alive in an older Javelin?

What would the lids have to do with keeping the fish alive? Just make sure the pumps are working properly and run them when you have fish and it should be fine.

I would think heat getting to them and warming the water up.

I have fished a few tourneys and never had a problem with keeping them fresh.

My 94 389 keeps fish better than any of the other guys I fish with boats including Ranger and and skeeter! I have never had issues with dead fish even in the heat of the summer.

Just add some ice to your livewells during your hotter tournaments and you should be fine. Some people like to use Rejuvinate, along with the ice.

If you are concerned about heat, why not just glue some foam board insulation or some of that bubble foil insulation from Lowes under the lids?
