    Center Seat in 294 XLE

Hello everyone. I am new to this site and I was wondering if anyone out there has put a center seat in their boat. I have read on here that people have done the center console from CO Marine, but I think that I would rather have the center seat. If anyone has had any luck doing this let me know. I would like to know that cost and how the finish product looked. Thanks.

I have one and would trade someone for a center storage thing for mine. Its great when my kids are in the boat with me but its not a step up for the back deck.

My 2009 294 XLE came with a center seat that comes right off easily. I leave it off all the time unless I know there will be 3 of us in the boat. I prefer having the step up to the back deck since that's where the live wells are (like ep72 said).

Is your center seat screwed into the fiberglass? If not do you have any problem with it moving around when no one is sitting in it.

It screws into a threaded insert on the bottom front, and it stays in place well, very snug.

It's in two pieces - the bottom piece (the seat pad) is screwed in as ep72 said, and the top piece (the back) gets wedged between the two bucket seats. You have to slot it in from the top after you've put in the bottom seat.

    Re: (NB Basser)

C&O ordered a center seat for me when I bought my 294XLE from them in October 2009. The order was cancelled when Stratos was bought by Platinum. C&O finally went out and had a middle seat set custom made for me and a couple other people. I got my middle seat almost one year after I purchased the boat. It is a two piece set that slides in between the two seats. They take a bit of pushing to get into place but they don't move easily. They matched my boat seat colors. I think they have some or can order the color that you want. I don't know if anyone has gotten a Stratos middle seat since the factory moved to Flippin, AK.
