    First time out with Garmin....

73sv...went to a HD lake with hotspots but didn't see any.Do you have to by a card or something for this to work? This thing is nowhere near as clear as my Helix9....kinda disapointed.

You have to buy the lake vu ultra chip to get the hot spots. Nothing is great out of the box. You've got to spend the time getting it dialed in. How deep were you? What transducer are you running?

If anything you should have had the 1 foot contours with the included maps if you were on an HD covered lake. If not, make sure your maps aren't set to bluechart.

Ultra maps include the hotspots. But, to be honest, those are just subjective.

Do you have to have the card for the fish eye view and 3D?
