    Looks like the jackplate and motor are both all the way up to me.

    Your right. Its not the angle. The jackplate is all the way up and motor is mounted as high as it will go on plate but the actual plate is mounted way low on the transom. Wonder whats up with that?

    Looks to me like the tansome mounted side plates of the jackplate are mounted upside down.

    those projacker hp's only have mounting holes to mount it right side up..

    it does look like the jackplate is mounted low though. I got the same jackplate(8" that looks like 10 or 12") and the top of the jackplate and the transom are just about level.. that one looks a few inches below the rub rail....
