Plan on buying new Stratos 285 XL?

Hi all

Any thoughts or concerns with this boat. I will be using the Yamaha 150 Vmax? Also any thoughts on the Yamaha 150 4 stroke, I am not interested in top end speed just a quite, clean motor.

What type of fishing are you plan on doing? I.E. bass tournament or just fun fishing.

I don't fish tournaments, but am a heavy recreational angler.

The 285 is a great boat, it rides good, handles big water pretty good for a 18 1/2 foot boat, and is pretty quick for what it is. If you have never owned something bigger, you will love it. After a little setting up, my old 2005 dual console 285 with a Yamaha 150 Vmax would hit 66.1 on the GPS with a light load and run about 63 with two people and full load.
