Just getting some thoughs here.
Anyone who owns/or owned a 284 dc with a 150 intruder/faststrike.
Ever feel like you could use just a little more trim to get the deeper bow up an get
further back on the pad?? My boat always seems like it never get enough lift.
My boat is a 1994 with a 1994 evinrude intruder 150 glera. CNC jackplate 5 1/2 setback. Turning a tempest 14 1/4 23p. 5300 rpm 57.9 mph pad height 3 3/4in
i own a 14 1/2 24p raker also (lower rpm an speed vs tempest)
Motor runs well everything is new. Powerhead new/lower unit new/motor mounts new/ carbs rebuilt new/ optical sensor new/ vro new/ timing set i own the tool/
everything is new.
No matter what i do or try... i get no lift or more rpm from motor unless i over jack it.
Own a little 21p 4blade turn that to 5900rpm only to 54.7 mph still no lift. An by lift i mean water contact spray coming from just behind my shoulder when at wot.
i want my bow up. my transom has some pitch to it an i think it robs my trim angle some. i going to make some 1/2in trim extenders for it to see if it will help.
my friend has a 1993 275 pro xl an our hulls are way different in the front. The 284 has more of the big wave nose.
back to the question though... 284 DC hard to get lift? could use a little more trim?? anyone who ever owned one please chime in!!!!
