stratos 285 pro elite set up????

I have a 98 285 pro elite with a fastrike 150 with a 23 renegade and was wondering what I should be running for top end speed. I would like to compare with other guys with a similar set up. also I am about 4.5" below pad and am curious if I will gain anything if I raise it. everyone else seems to be not more than 3.5".

Loaded 58-60 5500 rpms , Light 1 angler 60-61 5600-5700 and thats if the prop is in good condition.

We need to know your maximum rpms now as well as water pressure and if you have a jackplate to give better advice.

I am the same as you guys are. I have a 4" jack plate and I am running at 60-61 loaded at 5500 rpm and water pressure is pegged at 30 psi so I am guessing this is the normal expexted top end I guess I won't mess with it. Thanks Guys

I think the 23 is too small for you and at 30psi water pressure you should move up to 3.25" and see how she runs. I suggest 20psi is more than acceptable at WOT and fully trimmed.
