Javelin venom 18 prop

Anybody ever run a chopper on a smaller javelin boat with a 150. My venom 18 with a carb johnson is spinning a 25 renegade to about 6000 and I'm afraid it wont hold up at that rpm. Thinking of going to a 26 or 27 pitch. My propshaft is 3.5 below the pad and the holeshot is absolutely unbelievable. Could stand to lose a little to lower rpms and gain more speed. The hds5 gps says 69.8 mph at about 6000 rpms.

You got that bad boy flying! I ran a 26 Raker for a while on my old Jav Renegade 18.

Yeah its quick for a little boat. BUT DANG SURE HARD TO HOLD THAT FAST! At least I know I won't get thrown out with my rear pinching vinyl as hard as it does at those speeds. I don't see how all the Allison and bulletguys go as fast as they do.

Those boats running 80-85 feels like 60-65. They are so much more efficient.

dont know why but those are some fast boats. 6000 is as high as you want to be. get up with todd on the set ups by todd. or you can go to stevescustomprops.com email or im either of these guys and they can fix you up with exact prop you need. my opinion is you are more than likely set up as good as it gets.
