    '05 294 numbers

I'm running a 200hp Ficht with a 25p Tempest. It has really bad blowout on takeoff, I got all the caps to put in there but im wondering where i should start. Right now they are all the open ones, I have closed and medium open.

And whats the speeds i should be looking for? I finally got the boat up to 5800 rpms with the tempest on there and water pressure was still high, can i try to raise the motor up more until h20 pressure drops and rpms is over 5800? Right now i'm at 68 wot gps, wanna try to get atleast 70 then have mark bp the prop.

Raise it and go up to atleast a 26 tempest. I have a 27 Tempest on mine and i think most of us do. Everyone averages about 72-74 with that boat.

Try 3 large PVS plugs. With 1.87 gears you ought to spin a 26-27 pitch prop fine.
If you have a JP set it @ 3"below pad to start with and go from there.Sounds like your set too deep, you ought to be able to turn a 25 to the limiter.

And I would guess it chine walks bad @ around 66-68 gps running as deep as you are. Raising the motor will help that a bunch. If I remember right minium water pressure for the Rudes are 18psi @ WOT.

EDIT: If you dont have any large plugs try 2 mediums and leave 1 open.
