My partner has an 08 200 pro xl with a 225 H.O. E-tech. We wonder what size Hydualic J/P for speed and overall performance. He's got a manual 6" on it now running 77-78 with a 27 Tempest. I'll take prop suggestions, too.
Thanks, Dell

Dell, mine is an 09 Evo with a lot of mota, but, an old school Raker has been my best prop. Stratos loves the original Raker props. I would guess he needs a 28. I have a 10 inch Bob's hyd on mine, haven't tried any spacers yet. My other Stratos, I ran a 10 inch Rapid Jack and it worked very well. At the least, I think I would try some 2" spacers on his JP. Where is his rpm with the 27?

This is what I ran on my '06 200 pxl w/225HO ..... 28 old school Raker .... 8" JP, set at 2.50" below pad. consistanly 75-76 w/two man (450lb) team load, 78-79 one man and 80+ light. I had pvs holes added to help with hole shot.
This was my favorite all time boat to drive! Just kinda puts you in NASCAR mode!
How does it come outta the hole with the 28 old school Raker and the PVS holes? I think he said he has a old school 28 Raker, but it's "sanded" alittle.
Do ya'll think a 10" is too much J/P? Will it run bettter the futher you put it back?
Craig....wish I still had the Raker I traded/sold you.![]()

Not as good as the 27 Tempest, but it was acceptable. I had to feather the throttle a little to stop blowout when it broke over. Had 2 med plugs and one open, to get rpms up on initial throttle hit.
Is you J/P hydraulic? I know I can fix the blow out by dropping the plate....or at least I can in my Bullet. I think a 10" Bob's or 8.5" Detwiler will work. It will have the 1/2" form the Power Pole spacers aswell. Add a 28 old sckool Raker, with some holes, and I think we've got a winner.
BTW, you guys have helped a ton, THANKS!!!!![]()

Anybody else got an opinion?

Nope it is fixed, so, like you said, your hyd plate may allow it to perform better.
Good luck, Merry Christmas and let us know the results
