    1995 Stratos 201 Pro XL

I am looking at buying this boat, it has a Johnson 225. Is there anything I need to look for that might be a problem down the road? How is the ride, dry and smooth I hope? The boat is a 21'er right? Can I expect to get 60 mph? Mid range price I should expect to pay for a boat in good shape? Please list anything you might know about this model, before I go look at it this Friday, so I can make a list to check items off, I sure don't want to get excited and get home with a handful of problems.
    Thanks for all replys.

I have a 98 with a 99 johnson 225 with a jackplate. It will run 66 to 67 tournament loaded and @ 70 with just me. Nice riding boat.

I have a 95 with a 200 vindicator...very good riding boat, dry and smooth...mine would reach about 72-73 with 2 people loaded with gear, not on gps so i dunno how reliable that actually is...then i banged up my prop really bad and it dropped all the way to 68...then i blew my motor

but i love my boat and plan on having it for a long time

Thanks for the info guys. I have a 89 1800 fs tracker with a suzuki 150 right now, great boat and in great shape, but when the water gets rough, you get WET and banged around pretty good. SO just looking to upgrade, and with a little more speed I might be able to get to my fishing hole first once in a while (instead of that darn gambler)

I know what you mean, but that 201 will be pretty quick...and dry! I have rode in tritons, rangers, new stratos's, champions, bass trackers...while the 201 isnt the smoothest ride, it is very close and it is fast and dry. Stratos's are by far my favorite boats

    Hi Gary,

I'm selling a '94 201 ProXL w/200 Evinrude Vindicator. It has a 4 blade, 25p Renegade prop. GPS numbers are 63.5 mph. A different prop may boost it to about 67. Selling the boat, so not wanting to put more $$ into it. Have it posted on BBC, Stratos boats.

I would think a 225 should get a few more mph than the 200.

Bought a '07 Stratos 201 XL w/225 Etec. Like the ride of the 201.

    Good luck,
