    Javelin 400

Hello I would like to say I just joined your site and have already learn more in the three hours about boats then I knew before. I am looking at a boat and it is a:

1998 Javelin 400 Dual console, 20ft bass boat, 225 Evinrude Vindicator (1998) motor, tandem axle trailer, 2 fish finders, Motorguide trolling motor, on board battery charger, hydraulic steering, stainless steel prop

The guy is asking 6950 for it. Is this sound like a good deal or should I keep looking.
    Thanks for your input
    Mark

    Re: Javelin 400 (Shepherm)

Welcome to the boards Mark this sounds like a good deal to me. I own a 99 stratos dual console and I love mine, just make sure you look it over good and see if they will let you take it for a spin. The gurus about these boats will be along shortly with more info about them.

    Re: Javelin 400 (simoniz)

If it is in good shape and the motor checks out I would say BUY IT. Great hull, fast and handles big water well. I have a 96 400TE and it has not let me down at all and it looks as good as some of the other brands NEW boats.

    Yep and its not bad
Thanks for comments, its got a scratch or two but still does the job. I would love to have one of these new 200's I see you guys with, but too hard to let this one go and then take a big monthly payment. Would love to put a 225HO ETEC on this thing and see what she would do then, I am getting low 70's now so I am pretty happy with it.

    Re: Javelin 400 (Shepherm)

Thats way below book, especially with the tandem trailer. Sounds like a good deal if everything checks out okay. 98 is the first year javelin went all composite so that's a good thing in itself.
