My 90, 201pro DC w/xp200, 25p gade heavily loaded 4people 20gal gas about 50gps. 2 guys same gas around 60/62gps, myself 15gal, 65. for econo and best riding/driving if there is such a thing 4600 to 5000. 45 to 50gps.
I have only owned it 1yr and have been very pleased with it. the only thing I would like it to do now that I am getting use to it is get the bow up a bit more. it runs a little flat but it runs great. if I have to repower it will be a 225.
These are not rocket ships but they are quick when the water gets ugly. These hulls like a little chop instead of glass flat.

I've got a 90 201 DC also with a 200 Johnson. Been testing props for the past month. Went out yesterday and found the right one for it. That was a 24p Fury.
2 people at about 430lbs, fishing gear for 2, 2 half tanks, jackplate set at 3.5" below pad.
With that load running the factory 25p shooter.
63.8 gps @ 6000 rpms
Same load with 1 person- 64.3 gps @ 6100 rpms
With the 24p Fury.
2 people- 65.2 gps @ 5800
1 person- 67.1 gps @ 5900
How does the hull and weight of a '90 201 compare to the same stats on a '97 201 ?
I have an 88 201 with a 175 Mariner. 3.25 below pad. 25 Trophy and 6 inch plate.
Best yet is 65 gps alone with 12 gal of gas and half of BPS. 20 gal, partner and the rest of BPS I can get 60 with a tail wind.

I would think the 97 would be lighter, how much not sure. I do know there was a hull design change I believe in 95/96 probably in materials used also. ask todd morgan from C&O marine that would be the best source.

Thank you for the come back . I'll have to do that . I was hoping it would be at least a little lighter but I don't think the composites kicked in on the 201's till '98 .
