Is this a good deal on Stratos 19XL

So a dealer around my area has a 2000 Stratos 19XL SC for sale they are asking $11,800. One decent sized chip(maybe 1-2 inches) in it on the side. Other than that just a few rub marks. Seams to be in good condition besides that. Has 200hp evinrude on it. Looks like it was covered though, carpet and seats in really good condition.

I can't really find much info on this boat. The nada says low retail is $11,480 so it seams to be priced right.

Are these good boats? Any info you have? Any issues? This would be my first bass boat.

See if you can get the model and serial number on the motor so the experts here can check the history. You will also want them to run a compression test and make sure all cylinders are within +/- 10%. If it is a FICHT model, they can hook it up to a computer to see if any codes show up. Have them pull the plug on the lower unit and make sure there are only minor metal shavings and no chunks of metal. With the economy the way it is, I personally would not pay retail for a nine year old boat. If everything checks out, "Negotiate".

if it is the extreme edition make sure it has the good hull on it, but other than that if it checks out good the i would say try for about 10000.
