I posted this in the lounge but wanted to post here as well, maybe some of you guys will have some advice.
I bought my motor from Plapps may of last year, The promotion BRP was running at the time was no interest no payments for 12 mos. and an extra 2 years of warranty. I had my serial no. checked today and it turns out that Plapps didn't do it right or just figured out a way to keep the $$$ but I only got 3 years of warranty, now I have to try to get BRP to make it right.
Do you have a bill of sale that shows what you purchased?
When will it endthere has been at least a half dozen BBC members that have posted about how they got screwed at Plapps. I know the bank is getting ready to have an auction at Plapps and sell all their inventory. When the dust settles I think somebody will find a new home with Bubba in a 8x10 cell
I do have the bill of sale. I have contacted BRP and they said to fax what I have to the Program Mgr., with a letter explaining the situation. I am in the process of writing the letter. I hope BRP makes it right. I plan on riding this thing like a rented mule with them.
I wouldn't be surprised if he never paid BRP for the motor much less send in the $ for the extended warranty........
