its pretty easy just need a 3/4 wrench or socket and i beleive the top screw is 1 1/16 socket.
loosing the 2 bolts(3/4) on each side then turn the top screw(1 1/16)
Sounds easy enough. Thanks
Before you adjust your JP, can you provide some more details about your rig? Prop and pitch & current pad to shaft measurement (difference in inches between the centerline of the prop shaft and the bottom of the boat pad). Also, how is your boat reacting to hole shot? Is it blowing out? Once you know what your measurement is and post it here, then some of the board members evaluate your situation and respond with tips.
Adjusting the plate is straightforward. There are two bolts on each side of the plate and one large adjustment nut at the top-center of the plate. Before moving the plate, you need to know where you started. use masking tape and a pencil to mark on each side of the plate so you can see how much you've raised or lowered the plate. It is recommended that the plate be moved in 1/4" increments to find the optimal JP height. This is trial and error.
Loosen the four bolts. Adjust the large bolt to either lift or lower the JP to the desired height. Then, tighten the four bolts back. At this point, I recommend taking the tension off the top-center adjusting nut/bolt that lifts/lowers the plate.

Not sure of the pad to prop height. Bought the boat new from C and O in White Bluff at the end of August. Boat is a 201XL with the 250 HO. I have just been told how to determine the pad to prop height so I will take some measurements and let you know.
The boat does fine with one person and tackle. Fished a tourney last weekend and with two people and tackle it seems to make a big difference in the boat getting on plain. I know the weight makes a difference but I have been told it shouldnt make that much difference. Also at top end the boat gets loose at the front end. Not really a chime walk but loose. I wonder if adjusting the plate will correct these problems.
thanks
Honkey! Glad you finally decided to join the forum. bout time!! I have 2 or 3 props that are worth a try on that dude. I think we will have no problems setting her up to your likings. Just remember you got a new rig on your hands and its gunna drive diferent then your last rig. Seat time behind the wheel is also gunna play a big roll. I think your gunna find it interesting to see how much there is to learn.
You need to try and schedule Nov 22nd in your book. There is gunna be smoothies!!!![]()
