    Trailer question?

I have a stratos trail trailer it has the spring type bow roller thats the first one I ever had that has one of those types.
I have never had so much trouble loading a boat in my life, my boat constantly wants to sit crooked on the trailer, I'll pull it on like normal then crank it up to the roller, pull up the ramp and the boat is sitting crooked, i'll have to back it in loosen up the strap and some times it will straighten up and sometimes I'll have to back off and do it again. It get pretty embarassing at times.
Should I do away with that spring type roller or what?

I personally love these type trailers you can load steep or flat ramps with no problems. The bow roller doesn't align the boat with the trailer it sounds like you are backing in to far or your bunks are not adjusted properly for your boat. I have a 94 javelin 389 with single axle trailer if you will leave the back roller about 4''-6'' out of the water it should load easily with no more than a snug down on the winch!Be sure to raise the motor though because they do load shallow.

I have the same trailer with my 96 288 stratos , and I love it. Never had an issue with being crooked. Are your bunk boards in good condition? I don't think I could load mine crooked. I usually back in far enough so I can still see about 6-8" of the forward end of the bunk boards and just drive her on up. I usually winch the last few inches instead of driving to the roller, just to make sure boat is fully forward.
