I'm planning on placing mine as soon as someone picks up my '08 201 that's for sale.

I'm excited about all of these changes (except for the loss of speed ). I can't wait to see one in person and get some time in one on the water. Kudos to Stratos for stepping up the program.

Are the ratings still 250 for the 201???

I will be getting a 201 regardless whenever i have the money, id just wish by the time i can that they allow 300's on it. Hate to see all these other boats with 300's.

The 486's will have all the old stuff plus ss fenders, ne paint scheme, gauges and dash panels.

I can get you a 201 in 300 HP........problem is the major tourney's won't allow it in competition. 250 max.

If there was a decent dealer near me i would still have a Stratos. I had a new in 1988 181Pro and a 2000-21SS. I was happy with both boats but my local dealer was pitiful to say the least.

Not with an original 250 rating plate. They can get a 201 with a 300 rating plate.

Don't you figure they'll eventually change that 250 max to 300? Seems like a trend.

No.........it would be up to Ranger in all honesty to set the trend in FLW. If they had a reason to sell a bunch of 300's they would have FLW do it. With the strong power of the current 250's they see no need. Especially since the just changed to the Z520.......a little less of a slug than the past Rangers have been.

BASS would follow suit.....but I don't think it's in the near or distant future.
