**Help Needed With Recessed Basin for Foot Controlled Trolling Motor**

I just purchased a '97 201 Pro Elite. I want (need) to install a basin for a foot controlled trolling motor. A reputable glass shop said there is probably a brace under there that he would have to cut and he doesn't like that. And he said, I need to find one that when installed allows that pedal to fit flush to the floor, otherwise you may as well still stand on one foot.

My questions are: Does anyone know about any bracing that would impede installing that basin? Is there a basin I can get from the factory or elsewhere? Any other ideas/thoughts?

Oops - the TM is a Minnie Kota 101 - (big pedal, I might add)

No, it shouldn't be a problem, at least on my 96 there wasn't any there. Take out your front panel and look under and make sure first.

I put the one in Statos201basser's and in a couple of others and there are no braces there...The Comfortrol is a good medal pedal recess that fits the minn kota pedal very well...

There is Pro-Control and the Comfortrol you mention. Where do I find more info regarding the Comfortrol? And from the pics in another post it looks like there is very little room for a minnie kota to fit in that thing (width wise). Any issues there?

    Thanks in advance.

No braces underneath my 2002 21Xl, before I did the project I emailed Stratos directly and asked questions on this very nature. They told me there were no braces there and also when installing the tray to add support around the outer edges to help with the structural strength. I added 2x2 treated underneath the hole on all 4 sides and there is no flex whatsoever once installed.
