Ok heres the problem when i put my boat in gear you hear a fill a very rough almost like knocking sound. If you but it back into neutral then reverse then back into the gear for the most part it will go away. If it helps i have a hot foot. If i also put it into gear with a little more force its seems to go away. thx for all the info.
When was the last time you checked you lower unit fluid? What are your RPM's in neutral and in gear?
Sounds like shifter linkage needs adjusted. Fairly simply to do but it must coordinate with throttle.
+1, and its tough on the lower if its not adjusted properly.
