It kind of depends on you. You should insert your seat, if you use one, either stand up or sit down, and see where your foot needs to be for the t/m pedal... Then try to position the recess to be where the pedal will fit and work for your reach...Most of the time, there is not enough room to do too much adjusting on the recess due to space constraints...I mounted mine so I would not get into the front compartment wall when I cut the hole...
rt now the way i've got it mounted(tm pedal) is fine should i just figue out center for the tray from here
On my hull, which is shorter, I did as the other fellow suggested. Then I used a tape measure to center the template at the top and bottom. I used Mark Millers tray by the way.
Then I taped it off, and started outlining the carpet.
