WELCOME TO BBC!!!
Drive down to C&O Marine and pick up a new Stratos![]()
No really what motor do you have? The Yamaha, OMC, and Merc have different trim sending systems.
Live well drain, remove the cable, see if you can move it. If you can replace valve, if not see if valve works and replace cable or both valve and cable.![]()
I have heard that it could be a blown fuse. Where are the fuses on my boat????
I have been in that model but it's been a very long time ago. Hopefully someone will be along to help you with the location of the fuse box. Normally they are under the dash somewhere. I am not sure wen Stratos went to the circuit breakers? Either way I doubt your trim guage problem is a fuse. On a Johnson the trim is sent via a reostat to the guage. I'd drop Fred, (Championman) an IM or post over on the OMC board for help on the trim problem. You'll wnat to check what is coming out of the little reostat on the side of the motor fist off. Fred can give detailed instructions on how to isolate the trim problem.
I would still isolate the sticky livewell switch problem by simply unhooking the cable and testing both parts. My 2 cents worth.here!!!
The sending unit is on the port side mounting bracket, and is the most likely the culprit your local OMC/BRP dealer has the correct replacement part for this Item.
