    Rod locker piston assy

My boat is a 2004 201 pro single console. On my port side rod locker the hydraulic cylinder sometimes pops out. Is it because the little clip may be bad or do I need to address this with a whole new assembly? Thanks for your help.

Check to be sure the brackets at both ends of the hydraulic cylinder are attached firmly to the deck and lid. My tackle compartment strut occasionally popped off, until I realized the bracket on the compartment lid was loose. The flexing of the bracket caused the strut to pop off. No further problems after tightening the brackets. Hope this helps, otherwise you'll have to call Todd.
