How does one get around insurance and such while doing 90? Is it a don't tell 'em situation or are there ins. companies that don't care? Or do they just want to see the rated HP sticker on the cowling? I've often wondered.![]()
The dealership has a few boats that will run over 90.![]()

Back in the day when I had a real fast boat......the insuance agent asked the standard questions: how fast? What size engine? max rating?
The answers were: 60, 2.4 L V6, 180 max power. All true answers.......I'd seen it run 60 before.....also saw it average 106 in the kilo.....but then that wasn't one of the questions.
coolweather no partner 75-77, w/ partner 74-75, warm weather no partner 74-75, partner 71-73, fish=70 warm weather. yam 225 hpdi, 26 tempest
40 degree temps and a slight chop on the water, full gear, 3/4 gas and me... 77 with a 28 Raker. May have had a mph or 2 more, but it was cold and spittin' sleet on that run.

My insurance agent asked for VIN and serial numbers. He did not ask if I had visited the Hydro Tech parts bin (I have not, but could without anyone but my mechanic knowing).![]()
