Has anyone out there upgraded the 176XT from a 12 volt to a 24 volt, am looking for some guidance...No. 1, layout of the added battery, No.2 The wiring, is current wiring adequate.

Current wiring should be adequate. Battery layout will be whatever you find to work best.
What motor are you running this boat? Keep the extra weight of the battery and trolling motor in mind.

I've got a 60 e-tec and it jumps on plane and runs about 36 mph at 5500 rpm.
I think the weight won't matter a whole lot if I balance it out..
