Hey all you with older stratos boats, I experienced a bit of a mystery today while on the lake. the automatic livewell fill areator pump on one of my livewells went AWOL and started coming on while the swith was in the OFF position. the way the boat is setup is I have a port and starboard livewell. both have recirc pumps on seperate switches, but the fill pumps are controled by an auto/off/manual fill with a variable timer knob and a livewell selector switch. I have 2 of the auto/off/manual switches, one in the bow and the other in the console. both were in the off position and the pump came on. it woudl run sporadically and sometimes just a trickle or full blast. fiddling the bow switch woudl cut if off temporarily, but the console switch did nothing. the selector switch did nothing to cut it off, but only turn the other livewell on so both ran at the same time! only sure way to kill the pump was to cut all elec power, but then the fishfinder and guages dont work. the bow switch was indeed very hot to the touch and felt stiff. do you think this switch is my short? WHere can I get another one. if I cut power to this switch, will the console one work? (never use the bow switch anyways)
Oh yea, and to cap off a nice evening on the lake, the brake housing on my reel came loose during a cast and bounced off the gunnel and right into the lake! sank like a rock!WHo makes bass pro reels? I gotta order another one.....
